Aloha Friday

Aloha Friday!

Friday is a great day! It means tomorrow is Saturday, which means tomorrow I have backup for all the demands Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty make on me during the day.

For my inaugural Aloha Friday contribution, my question is this:

What do you and your man do for date nights?

Me and mine? Well, we don't "date." We never really have.

Unless you count grocery shopping as a date.

Which we rarely do together anymore.

Needless to say, I need some ideas. Help me out. Please?

  1. The hubby and I were married 11 years before our baby girl was born. We used to go on 'dates' all the time...mainly just going to dinner.

We have only gone out once since her birth and I am dying to a movie or something...anything to just get out of the house and have alone time with him. The movies aren't really that romantic or anything, but it's relaxing (as long as we don't go to some thriller or shoot 'em up bang bang movie! lol)

You can't really talk at a movie either...we like going to the park alone. It's great to sit under a tree with lunch or something. Not sure if it's too cold where you are though. We like strolling at nice outdoor type shopping areas...there are some really nice places like that here.

Hmmm that's all I can think of right now. :)

  2. We don't do date nights. Every so often we're able to meet for lunch by ourselves, but that's pretty much it. Sorry I'm no help! :)

  3. Hmmmmm... Michael's on the Lake? Inca's? The bowling alley?

When my husband and I were dating, these were our staples in ML, along with the movie theater. Other than that we used to cook at each others' places and rent movies a lot... with one notable romantic moonlit boat ride on the lake.

Tough to think of ideas you can do in ML while you have a nursing baby... trips to the Tri-Cities are probably out because of the time it takes to get there and back.

  4. Well, if you can get a babysitter (my parents live close so I'm lucky) we like to go to local theater productions. Our high school does a musical in the fall and a play in the spring (so usually we go in the fall). Other than that... we don't go out much either!

  5. Wha? We're suppose to have dates after we're married?

I thought the whole point of marriage was to no longer have the pressure of dating?

    Ack!

Seriously, our Friday night fun means homemade pizza, a movie with the boys and then in bed by 9 pm.

    We're smokin'

Now I have to go make that homemade pizza!

  6. We love to sit and look at a good sky. When we were dating we'd put the top down on our little car, drive up to the plateau and count the shooting stars.

  7. No dates here either. On the weekends once the kids are asleep we'll watch a move OnDemand or a DVD but that is about it.

  12. I guess it's cliche, but we enjoy dinner and a movie. We love movies, but don't get to see many since we had the Peanut (DS 17mo) I always ask for gift cert to local restaurants for the holidays so we can use them when we need a date night.

PS Thanks for stopping by my blog and entering my Babylegs Giveaway!
